During my recent weekend stay at Hotel-Garni Ziegenhagen in Cologne, I found a mix of charming old-world ambiance and essential comfort perfect for the modern traveler. The hotel features delightful, country-style dining that serves a tasty breakfast, making it an excellent start to a busy day in the city. The spacious rooms felt almost like apartments, equipped with a seating area, cable TV, and a big, comfortable bed for a good night's sleep after my excursions. the hotel's proximity-just a short 10-minute walk from the Cologne Cathedral and Central Station-makes it ideal for both business and leisure travelers alike. I must mention a few hiccups during my stay, primarily with the language barrier; Despite requesting communication in English, conversations often began in German. I encountered issues with internet connectivity, with no WiFi available, forcing me to venture out for connection-though the Turkish cuisine at nearby restaurants was a delightful surprise. The friendly staff and the warm, inviting lobby add a personal touch, making it a memorable stop on my travels.
